Thirroul Public School was established in 1889 and has provided continuous education for the Thirroul community since its opening.
The school has a positive image in the local community and actively participates in community events. Our students display a positive attitude to learning and are generally well behaved.
This contributes to the tone and culture of Thirroul Public School which aims to provide an educationally focused and caring environment for our students. Thirroul Public School has an established reputation for strong academic achievement and a long tradition of sporting success. The school staff aim to provide for the children's educational needs in a happy and caring environment which provides children with opportunities to realise their potential and develop talents across the curriculum.
The staff aim to promote children's self respect and self discipline and build sustainable communication links between the school and the community. The school also aims to: promote tolerance and respect for others; improve students' literacy and increase student interest in writing and writing techniques; improve students' numeracy skills; continue improving the school's physical environment; and to continue to review our assessing and reporting format.
